On this page
The Companies page lists every company in Signalsant. Instead of filter menus, you describe what you want in one search box, and Signalsant turns it into filters.
Search in plain words
- Open Companies.
- In Who are you looking for?, type what you want. For example:
UK software companies with an emailBerlin restaurants rated under 3Domains expiring tomorrow in India
- Click Search or press Enter.
Searches can be up to 300 characters long.
Filter chips
Signalsant shows how it read your search as chips, for example a country, a city, a category, "Has email" or a rating range. Remove a chip to widen the results, or click Clear all to start again.
The search understands:
- Places: countries, states and cities.
- Kinds of business: categories and sectors, plus any keywords or quoted text.
- Ratings and reviews: "Rating ≥ 4", "Rating 3–4", "50+ reviews".
- Contact details: "Has email" / "No email", "Has phone" / "No phone", "Has website" / "No website".
- Domains: expiry and registration dates.
- Company Index: "Verified" / "Not verified", or a minimum score.
Sort
- Without a search: sort by Company Index (the default), Last updated or Name, ascending or descending.
- With a search: use Sort by: Best match, Domain expiry, Rating, Company Index or Name.
Columns
- Name, with a tick for verified companies.
- Index: the Company Index from 300 to 900, with a band from Poor to Excellent.
- Location and Category.
- Updated, or Expires when you search for domain expiry.
- Links to the website and Google Maps.
The list loads more as you scroll. A search shows at most 1,000 companies and then says "That's every match", so narrow it to see others.
Add companies to a group
- Tick the companies you want.
- In the bar that shows "N companies selected", click Add to group.
- Choose a Group, or click Create a new group instead and enter a New group name.
- Click Add.
Quick search
The Search companies… box at the top of every page (Ctrl K) jumps straight to a company by name.
Troubleshooting
- "No companies match": click the Remove "…" button to drop the last filter, or remove another chip.
- "Too many searches. Try again in a minute.": wait a moment, then search again.
- "Smart search is busy; matched on keywords.": results are based on your keywords only. Try again shortly for the full search.
- You can't find a business at all: it may not be in Signalsant yet. Run a Deep Search.
- Export: Signalsant doesn't export companies to CSV.
