Auto-paused campaigns

Why a campaign shows Auto-paused, what happens to its queued emails, and how reconnecting the mailbox resumes it without touching campaigns you paused.

On this page

A campaign shows Auto-paused when Signalsant paused it for you because its mailbox can no longer send. This happens when Google or Microsoft revokes Signalsant's access, for example after a password change.

What you'll see

  • Auto-paused in the campaign list, with "Paused automatically: email access revoked" and a Reconnect link.
  • A banner on the campaign: "Paused automatically: email access revoked. Queued emails stay queued. Reconnect the mailbox to resume sending."
  • On the Email tab: "Paused automatically: email access revoked."

What happens to your emails

  • Nothing is sent from that mailbox.
  • Emails already planned stay planned. They aren't marked as failed or lost.
  • An email that was being sent at that moment goes back to waiting.

Resume it

  1. Click Reconnect the mailbox in the banner, or Reconnect in the campaign list. It takes you to the mailbox.
  2. Sign in with the same mailbox and approve access.

Every campaign that was auto-paused for that mailbox resumes on its own. You'll see "Reconnected. N campaign(s) resumed." Campaigns that someone paused by hand stay paused.

Full steps: Reconnect a mailbox.

Use another mailbox instead

If you can't reconnect, choose a different Mailbox under Email → Settings → Send from, save, and then Start the campaign.

You can't start a campaign while its mailbox still shows Access revoked.

Troubleshooting

  • "Access to this mailbox was revoked. Reconnect to continue.": you tried to start the campaign before reconnecting.
  • No alert arrived: Signalsant doesn't send a notification when a campaign is auto-paused. Check the campaign list for the badge.
