Claim your business on Signalsant

Every company in Signalsant has a public page. If it's your business, claim it. Once verified, your team can update the page, keep contact details accurate and reply to reviews. The page shows an Owner verified badge.

Before you start#

• Sign in, or create a free account. If you start from a business page while signed out, you return to it after signing up.
• You need the Moderator role or higher in the team that will own the business.
• The business must have a website on its page; verification is done through that website's domain.

Steps#

1. Open the business's page and click Claim this business, or Claim this page at the bottom.
2. Under How do you want to verify?, choose a method. The quickest available one is marked Recommended.
3. Complete the Verify step for that method (below).
4. When it succeeds, you'll see "You're the verified owner of" the business. Click Go to Your business to start editing.

Verification methods#

Business email (about 1 minute)#

1. Enter an address at the company's own domain, such as info or sales, then click Send code.
2. Enter the 6-digit code from that inbox and click Verify. Codes last 10 minutes.

The address must be a shared mailbox (such as info@, contact@, hello@ or sales@) or an address the business publishes. Free personal email providers aren't accepted.

DNS record (5 minutes, plus DNS update time)#

1. Add the record shown (Type, Host and Value) at your domain's DNS provider.
2. Click Check now. DNS changes can take a while to appear, and you can check again every 30 seconds.

Website tag (about 5 minutes)#

1. Add the Meta tag to your home page, or upload the Text file to your site.
2. Click Check now.

After you claim#

• A claim stays open for 14 days. Withdraw it any time with Withdraw claim.
• If another team already owns the business, the button says Request access. Your request is reviewed by the Signalsant team, and you'll see "We're reviewing your claim".

Troubleshooting#

• "This business can't be verified yet": the page has no website.
• "Ask a team moderator or admin": your role in the selected team is Viewer.
• The email code didn't arrive: check spam, wait for Resend code, or try another method.
• "This claim expired": click Start again.
