Write templates with AI

The Email Studio can write and polish templates for you. Open the AI tab in the editor, or choose Generate with AI when your library is empty.

To have AI write a different email for every company in a campaign instead, see Choose a campaign's content.

Before you start#

You need the Moderator role or higher.

Draft a whole email#

1. In AI → Draft with AI, describe What's the email about?. Use 10–2,000 characters, for example: "Offer dental clinics a free audit of their Google reviews, and ask for a 15-minute call."
2. Choose a Tone: Friendly, Professional, Formal or Direct.
3. Optionally add a Call to action (optional) of up to 80 characters, such as "Book a 15-minute call".
4. Choose a Length:
   • Short: under about 80 words;
   • Medium: under about 150;
   • Long: under about 250.
5. Choose As: Blocks to edit it in Design, or HTML.
6. Click Generate draft.

The draft replaces the current content, with variables already in place. To get your previous content back, use Undo in the "Draft ready" message.

Rewrite part of an email#

• In Design: use a text block's Rewrite menu:
  • Make it shorter;
  • Make it friendlier;
  • Make it more formal;
  • Make it more persuasive;
  • Fix grammar and spelling;
  • Custom instruction….
• In Code: select text, then in Rewrite a selection pick a preset or type how to change it, and click Rewrite. Choose Replace selection to keep the result, or Discard to drop it.

Subject ideas#

Under Subject ideas, click Suggest 5. The ideas are based on the email's content and use variables where they help. Click Use to set one as the subject, or Suggest again for more.

Always check the result#

AI drafts can be wrong about your offer or the company. Read every draft, and preview it with a real company before using it in a campaign.

Troubleshooting#

• "Too many requests. Wait a few minutes and try again.": AI actions are limited per person. Wait, then try again.
• "The AI took too long to answer.": try again, or shorten the brief.
• "The AI's draft wasn't usable.": try again with a more specific brief.
• "Write some of the email first": subject ideas need some content to work from.
