Add and remove companies in a group

You can change the companies in your own (custom) groups. Default groups are read-only.

Before you start#

• You need the Moderator role or higher.
• A group holds up to 1,000 companies. Companies beyond that are skipped, and the result message says how many were added, such as "Added 40 of 60".

Add companies one by one#

1. Open the group and click Add companies.
2. On Select companies, use Search by name or domain. Each search shows up to 20 matches.
3. Tick the companies you want.
4. Click Add N Companies.

Add every company that matches a filter#

1. Open the group and click Add companies.
2. Go to Add by filter.
3. Set any of Search (name or domain), Location (country, state, city) and Category.
4. Click Add matching companies.

Up to 1,000 companies are added at a time, and never more than the group can hold.

Add from the Companies page#

Search on Companies, tick the results, then click Add to group and pick the group. This is the easiest way to use the full search, such as "has email" or rating filters. See Find and filter companies.

Remove a company#

On the group's page, click the Remove from group icon at the end of the company's row.

Remove everything that matches a filter#

1. Click Remove by filter.
2. Set Search, Location and/or Category.
3. Click Remove matching companies.

This can't be undone.

Find companies in a group#

• Search companies in this group searches by name or domain.
• The Company Index filter limits the list to a score band, such as Good 650+, or a range you enter.

Troubleshooting#

• The add or remove button is greyed out: set at least one of Search, Location or Category, or tick a company.
• "Group already has the maximum of 1000 companies": the group is full. Remove some companies first.
• The buttons are missing: this is a default group, which you can't change.
